Grand Cayman Activities

Grand Cayman is the largest of the three Islands that make up the Cayman Islands. The main activities here include scuba diving and snorkeling, heralded as some of the best in the world. Nearly all water sports are represented here as so much of our recreational time centers around our beautiful beach and crystal clear waters. Other ideas include visiting our stunning Botanical Park, Pedro St. James, and the Turtle Farm, horseback riding, National Trust excursions, shopping, bicycle rides, Island tours, fishing and getting tanned. For those who enjoy evening entertainment there are many wonderful bars, restaurants and nightclubs. With two theatres and a cinema, a little external culture is never far away either.

Little Cayman Activities

Little Cayman is the smallest and least developed of the three Islands. With approximately 250 inhabitants, it is easy to see why it enjoys the billing as "a nature lovers paradise". The National Trust is very active here and protects the Caribbean’s largest nesting colony of the red-footed boobie, as well as many other natural interests. The best way to get around is by bicycle and you may well be lucky enough to see an iguana strolling across the road or even an endangered whistling duck. Enjoy long strolls on deserted beaches and a "quiet" that you may have forgotten. This is a very popular destination for divers and fishermen who want to vacation in a simple style. Little Cayman is also famous for its annual "Cook Off," which shows off the magnificent fare of this tiny island.

Cayman Brac Activities

The middle-sized island of the three, Cayman Brac is probably most famous for its spectacular caves and bluff. Brought more into focus with a recent book entitled "Climbing in Cayman Brac," it has become a popular destination for climbing and caving enthusiasts. Much smaller than Grand Cayman, with many fewer inhabitants, the Brac (as it’s called locally) appeals to vacationers wishing to relax and enjoy the nature that surrounds them. The Brac is well known for its world-class bird watching, with nearly 200 resident species of remarkably tame birds. Scuba diving and fishing are, of course, other popular options.
